Choose between Butterfly Falls or Awat Balam for your special day and let nature's paradise be the witness to this unforgettable occasion. We will be happy to help you choose the waterfall or scenic lookout most appropriate for you and your guests.

Butterfly Falls is a stunning jungle-clad venue ideal for an intimate wedding ceremony. This private and secluded 90 foot waterfall provides a romantic setting and the 20 minute hike down a jungle trail is well worth the effort. Butterfly Falls is perfect for 2 -8 guests.

Awat Balam (meaning “Roar of the Jaguar” in local Mayan) is one of our most scenic viewing platforms. Recently completed, this 2 level structure affords you a beautiful and breathtaking experience on our property. Nestled next to Tiger Creek Falls, you have a georgeous view of the valley below and yet another waterfall on the cliffs opposite. Enjoy your special day here with the sounds of the wind whispering through the pine trees and the gentle rumble of the waterfall next to you. Awat Balam is also a perfect place to contemplate the last rays of the day with a chilled drink in hand. This spot is ideal for both smaller and larger wedding parties. Catering for larger groups can be arranged by prior request. Awat Balam is perfect for 2 – 20 guests.

(Recommended for Bride, Groom and 20 or less guests.)

In order to obtain a Belizean marriage license, non-Belizeans must have been resident in the country for three days before the ceremony. Please bear in mind that the licenses cannot be processed on the weekends. Blood tests are not necessary. You must have parent's consent if either party is under the age of 18. If either party was previously married, proof of divorce or widowhood must be presented with the wedding license application. The completed Marriage License Application needs to be signed by a Justice of the Peace in the presence of the applicants before it can be processed. Depending on the individual travel itinerary, we will suggest the easiest and most convenient way to get this done. Also required are copies of both the picture pages of both passports and the pages showing the arrival stamp in Belize.

Included in the wedding package:

  1. Belizean marriage license
  2. Tropical bouquet and flowers at the venue.
  3. Your choice of wedding cake Baked Cheesecake, Chocolate Cheesecake, Tres Leches Cake (highly recommended!) or Carrot Cake.
  4. Processing of marriage license application and all associated license fees.
  5. Fees for marriage officer, and marriage certificate.
  6. A bottle of sparkling wine on your wedding day.
