Having a glass of vino in the warm Belize air is not typically something that resonates right away when you think about visiting this Central American region. However, in the last few years Belize has elevated their wine culture to a whole new level. Locally brewed fruit wines have become increasingly popular, over the last decade, and are definitely a drink you must try. There are many different styles of this wine, but among some of our favorite are the Cashew and Craboo.

These wines are sweeter than your average Pinot Grigio and are best served extremely cold or over ice. Bel-Mer is one of the more well-known and popular wineries from Belize, producing over eight different styles of fruit wine and local liquors. Make sure you check out this sweet treat while on vacation, it is a flavor unlike anything else. A really Belizean masterpiece!
