The month of the lobster is upon us. It’s hard to believe it, but here in Belize we love these little red crustaceans so much that we have basically dedicated an entire month to their existence! Three separate festivals will be taking place throughout the month of June, and all over the country different events will be happening exclusively to chow down on this sweet treat from the sea.

For the real enthusiasts, an eleven day festival begins June 15th on Ambergis Cay with dancing and island delicacies. And for those that are low key, check out the two day festival in Placenia or the weekend event in Caye Caulker for a more laid-back experience. Drown your lobster with butter or eat it puritan style — no matter the style you choose, you will definitely walk away from this one full and happy.
