Belize is a country of many natural beauties — from the sprawling waterfalls, to the dense rain forest and gorgeous white sandy beaches, it is hard to believe that Belize has even more to offer. But it truly does! This tiny, little country also happens to be home to the only Jaguar Sanctuary in the world. Big cats are a source of interest for many and are rapidly decreasing in population over time. Although the entire country prides themselves on the jaguar species, Cockscomb Basin Forest Reserve is the main piece of land that houses these four legged prowlers. Not everyone is so lucky to catch a glimpse, as these animals are normally pretty stealth; the excitement that you will experience if you do is unimaginable. Take a walk on the wild side and visit Cockscomb or one of the many other reserves and try your hand at jaguar spotting.
